Surface Embroidery Mending combines practical mending with creative surface embroidery and appliqué. In this joyful 3-hour beginner-friendly workshop taught by local artist Terri Michele King, you'll transform worn or faded garments into eye-catching decorative features using colorful threads, fabric scraps, and simple stitches. Learn essential embroidery techniques—running stitch, backstitch, stem stitch, French knots, blanket stitch, and more—plus appliqué methods to turn holes and stains into unique design elements.

You'll leave with an embellished fabric sample, a stitch guide, and the confidence to beautify your own clothing. No prior experience needed.
