Knitting 101: Making a Swatch

For absolute beginners! Learn the fundamentals of knitting with a friendly small group of people who are also just starting their knitting journey! Students will start making a guage swatch which is a fundamental skill used in knitting. 

In this two hour class we will cover the following:

• Knit & Purl Stitches
• Casting On (three ways)
• Reading a Basic Pattern
• Important Terminology 
• English vs. Continental Knitting

We will provide an electronic and physical handout including topics covered, a resource list, pattern, and more.

Please purchase needles or bring your own needles (US 8 - 10). Scrap yarns will be provided for practice purposes only.
