Join us over a 2-month series to make your very own granny hexi cardigan with Katy from Little Lemon Stitches (@littlelemonstitches). You will join a community of crocheters, a one-on-one crochet instructor, and your choice of yarns to make the iconic hexi cardigan.
Hold your spot for the following dates:
Saturday, September 12th, 11 - 1 pm: Getting Started
Saturday, October 10th: 11 - 1 pm: Adding Length & Finishing
Class 1 (9/12, 11 am - 1 pm): Getting Started
Perfect for all skill levels (including beginners), this class will teach you the stitches and techniques needed to create a hexagon cardigan. We'll cover double crochet, slip stitch, and the construction of your first hexagon while explaining how it transforms into a sweater. You'll leave class ready to complete your two hexagons at home before the second session.
Class 2 (10/10, 11a-1p): Adding Length & Finishing
Bring your completed hexagons back to class as we transform them into a wearable cardigan! You'll learn how to join the pieces, customize the sleeve and body length, and add a border of your choice to give your sweater a finished look.
Recommended Materials:
Bring your own selection of 2 - 5 colors of DK weight yarns. Mix and match stash yarns or you have the option to choose 4 colors from Scout & Skein's selection of yarns in Sirdar's Stylecraft DK.
You are encouraged to attend all sessions of the workshop to complete your project.
